January 5th, 2010Here at J & B Carpet we love our “Go Green” products. One of our favorite is Smartstrand with Dupont Sorona Carpet by Mohawk. Part of the DuPont Sorona product is made from corn sugar, who ever thought a vegetable could go so far. With Smartstrand every 7 yards Mohawk produces saves enough energy and resources to equal one gallon of gasoline. According to Mohawks research this equals over 10 million gallons of gasoline per year!! Wow imaging how many more road trips we could be taking! This product is not only a renewable resource, it is also superior in stain resistance. It is essentially in the DNA so to speak of the fiber, meaning it will never wear or wash away. One of the coolest features to this piece is it is even resistant to discoloration from Bleach. That’s right ladies I said Bleach.
